UPV is a public Higher Education Institution actively involved in international cooperation and mobility projects. UPV hosts nearly 30,000 students and employs over 4,000 people (teaching, research, and administrative staff) and it is the first technological university in Spain according to international rankings (e.g. Shanghai Ranking of World Universities).

UPV offers 39 undergraduate programmes, over 80 official Master’s degrees and 30 Doctorate programmes. Even though UPV focuses mainly on engineering and technical studies, it also hosts a Faculty of Fine Arts and a Faculty of Business Administration and Management.

UPV receives every year over 1,800 exchange students and sends over 1,400 UPV students abroad under different mobility programmes, repeatedly ranking amongst the top 5 European Universities in student exchange figures under the Erasmus+ Programme.

UPV is engaged and fully committed to internationalisation and academic innovation. In addition, and since the beginning of the Erasmus+ 2014-2020 and Creative Europe Programmes, UPV has participated in 59 projects funded through different subprogrammes (14 as a Coordinator and 45 as a Partner): Capacity Building in Higher Education, Strategic Partnerships, Knowledge Alliances, Sector Skills Alliances, Forward Looking, Culture Cooperation Projects, etc.

UPV is committed to the success of this project, and is eager to actively engage not only in academic activities but also in the management bodies of the consortium. UPV is willing to cooperate with the coordinator and all partners by providing extensive scientific know-how in this area, technical capabilities and sound management structures and experience.

The UPV research group has a great expertise on traditional agricultural practices and new methodologies applied in the farming activities with several papers and documentaries related to that topic. This expertise alligns with the principal innovative learning activities proposed in the project. Moreover, the experience of the research group is focused on the methodologies used in promoting creative and systemic thinking in the students.

INGENIO (CSIC-UPV) is a joint research centre of the Spanish Council for Scientific Research (CSIC) and the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), with more than 30 researchers from different professional fields, academic backgrounds and nationalities. INGENIO is internationally known for its research in the economics of innovation, research evaluation and science policy. It is building an increasingly strong reputation in the areas of science and research policy, social innovation and responsible research and innovation (RRI). INGENIO researchers publish in the leading journals, and present their work at the top international conferences, in their respective fields. As a joint CSIC-UPV centre, INGENIO provides a broad range of possibilities to develop research and teaching activities, train postgraduate students, and regularly hosts international researchers and PhD students.

Nowadays, the UPV group is participating in another two ERASMUS + KA2 project called SUSTAIN and TOURNET which propose to develop online modules for high schools to favouring STEAM subjects and research experiences and to promote cross-sectorial networks in sustainable tourism, respectively.
